Writing

Charlee discovered poetry when she was in second grade. Though she has broadened her writing scope, she has never stopped writing since then. She is currently a board member of the Gloucester Writers Center. At the Center, she tutors and teachers workshops for kids and women. Charlee is also a freelance writer for the Cape Ann Beacon, a local community newspaper. Though she loves to teach and work for the newspaper, her real passion is travel writing. Charlee has traveled extensively throughout the world, and in particular throughout Asia, having spent a year living in China, and half a year living in India. She has done extensive work and research within the Tibetan-Buddhist community. Writing was one of the ways in which she was able to explore and contemplate the cultures she experienced along her journey.

Charlee is available for writing assignments, tutoring and teaching.  She can be reached at writing@charleebeth.com.
